All counties will have at least one main voting location, or "supercenter", where everyone in the county can vote.

Additional Voting Locations

Certain voting addresses may have additional Eleciton Day voting locations. Know your options and avoid long drives and lines!

This year every Kentucky voter has the option to vote by mail. It is safe and easy!


Important dates

The deadline to request your mail-in ballot is Oct. 9.

Your ballot must be postmarked by Nov. 3.

How to request a ballot

To request your mail-in ballot online, visit govoteky.com, and click “Absentee Ballot Request.”

Visit your county clerk’s office to request a ballot in person. You can find the address for your county clerk here.

How to fill out a ballot

Fill out your ballot and put it in the envelope.

Remember to sign and seal BOTH the inner and outer envelope.

Avoid these common mistakes

Your ballot will be highlighted where it needs to be signed. Make sure you have signed all appropriate documents before sealing and sending.

Do NOT remove the perforated flap on the inner envelope of your ballot.

If your ballot becomes damaged in any way please call your county clerk.

Make sure to seal the inner and outer envelope completely. If the seal will not stick, contact your county clerk. Do NOT attempt to tape the envelope shut.

After completing your ballot you must seal it in the inner envelope and place it in the large envelope.

Your signature must match the signature on your voter registration card.

How to return a ballot by mail

Mail it back as soon as possible. Postage is prepaid, so no need for a stamp.

Your ballot must be POSTMARKED by November 3rd.
